Tym razem przyglądamy się kobiecości w kinie – jako zjawisku kulturowemu, społecznemu, pełnemu napięć i niejednoznaczności. Szukamy prac, które pokażą, przełamią lub przemyślą na nowo te motywy.

Znany do tej pory studencki nieregularnik filmowy, z blisko 15-letnią tradycją, przechodzi transformację. Wraz z nadejściem wiosny rozkwitł również nowy skład redakcyjny pisma, które po krótkim zimowaniu pragniemy zaprezentować w odświeżonej formule. 🌷
„16 mm” tworzymy z pasji do kina i potrzeby mówienia o nim po swojemu – z różnych perspektyw, bez zadęcia, ale z uważnością i zaangażowaniem. Łączymy refleksję z humorem, poważne obserwacje z lekką formą. Interesuje nas to, co w kinie nieoczywiste, zmysłowe, niedopowiedziane.

💌 We’re looking for:
➳ illustrations (digital or traditional)
➳ collages, posters, or graphics inspired by the theme of the issue
➳ visual experiments connecting cinema and femininity
➳ video art
➳ podcasts
‼ Submitted works should have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi and a format suitable for printing at A4 size or larger. We accept files in jpg, png, or pdf format. If you have any technical questions – feel free to reach out! ‼

This time, we’re focusing on femininity in cinema – as a cultural, social, and sensual phenomenon, full of tensions and ambiguities. We’re looking for works that explore, challenge, or rethink these themes.

• Artistic individualities in women’s cinema
• Sensuality and the body as a language of resistance
• Gender tensions and the transformation of film archetypes

Previously known as a student-run, irregularly published film magazine with almost 15 years of tradition, "16mm" is undergoing a transformation. With the arrival of spring, a new editorial team has blossomed, and after a brief hibernation, we’re thrilled to present the magazine in a refreshed format. 🌷
“16 mm” is created out of a passion for cinema and a need to talk about it in our own way – from different perspectives, without pretension, but with attentiveness and genuine engagement. We blend serious reflections with humor, and critical observations with a light touch. We are drawn to everything in cinema that’s ambiguous, sensual, and often left unsaid.
